Occupational Therapy treatment sessions are 60 minutes in length one or two times a week as prescribed by a physician. Treatment sessions are provided on an individual basis, with one clinician treating one client in a specially designed environment with interventions designed to remediate deficit areas identified during the evaluation.

Significant progress can generally be seen after 2-6 months of intervention. It is not uncommon for some children to benefit from one to two years of treatment and some children may continue to benefit from ongoing or periodic intervention as they age and environmental demands increase.
