Challenging Behaviors II
- Behaviors in the Community -
Whether it’s a trip to Target, a doctor or dentist appointment, a haircut, or
a trip to the grocery store - taking your child with special needs into the community
offers its own unique challenges. There are often many variables we can’t control:
noise levels, crowds, visible toys and treats, etc. - and then there are
the specific chores and tasks that we HAVE to complete.
We’ll teach you how to Reach For The Stars! - an acronym to help you remember
the steps needed to make trips into the community a success!!
You will leave prepared and ready to tackle these adventures with your child!
We invite you to come early from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to enjoy refreshments while mingling with parents, Partners’ staff, and other professionals during our Mini Vendor Fair where local vendors will be available to discuss their products/services.
