Partners In Excellence is excited to be a part of Oktoberfest this year!
The events of Oktoberfest can be so much fun for children and families. The flashing lights, the music, the people and all of the action really add to the excitement.
However, those same things that make Oktoberfest fun and exciting can also contribute to sensory overload, frustration and emotional melt-downs for some children. Particulary those with special needs, such as autism.
Partners In Excellence is pleased to offer a cool, calm and safe place for parents to bring their child with special needs if they need a break from all of the fun.
Please join us in our very cool “Cool Down Tent”!
- water and light snacks
- dimmed lighting
- quiet music
- a “cushy corner” of bean bags, pillows, weighted blankets etc.
- body socks
- books and puzzles
- cars and trains
- drawing/coloring supplies
- trained behavior therapists to help guide your child
- an information corner for Mom and Dad
There is no charge for this service so just come and join us for a bit to give your child a safe place to retreat and take a break from the action!
